The masks are made from 2mm thick 30 x 30cm synthetic felt sheets. All cuts are made using a pair of scissors and the pieces are glued on top of each other using a glue gun (the hot glue flows out, is placed on the felt, and hardens as it cools). Remember, once the glue has hardened you cannot change the position of the piece. Mouse Mask Cut the photocopies to make the templates. Apply the templates to the appropriate coloured felt. Cut the felt around the templates with large scissors and carefully scoop out the eyes with small, very sharp scissors. Glue the whites of the eyes and teeth on the back. Paste the rest on the front. Make holes on both sides of the mask with sharp scissors Place the string through the holes and tie at the back. Lion mask Follow the same principles as for the mouse mask. Tip: To get the nose in relief, glue two layers of felt and then, curving these up, stick the nose perpendicularly to the lower edge of the nose. Paste the long hairs of the mane between the two layers of felt.
